Diego Sanchez was formerly on the team of Dr. Mehmet Oz, a heart surgeon at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York City, where he practiced shiatsu on open-heart surgery patients in the ICU. He also practiced shiatsu on rescue workers at Ground Zero after 9/11, and he has written articles and directed documentaries on the effects of shiatsu and energy bodywork in the hospital environment and for special situations.
